Unless you never intend to return to Morocco, put them at the back of a drawer or something until you go again.

You lose money every time you exchange it from one currency to another.

You're right about bureaux de change - they're not allowed to change dirhams for you. If you plan to ever go again, then the answer's obvious - keep them! Otherwise, it might not be hard to find someone to buy them from you. Since I started going to Morocco, I'm amazed how popular it has become, you never know, you might hear about someone who's going there and you can sell them that way.

I am going to Marrakech again this September and would be prepared to buy them off you.

Let me know if you wish to do business.

Send me an e-mail, I may just buy them from you for the right price; they must be in good condition though.

Go to any bureau de change. They are in most post offices and lots of travel agencies. They should be able to change your money for you.

you should be able to exchange them at a local currency exchange or bank.
